World Oriental Martial Arts Federation Mr. Kim

WOMAF, the World Oriental Martial Arts Federation, is a training federation for martial artists involved in Hapkido, Combat TaeKwonDo, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido and Kung Fu. Founded in 1986, the goal of WOMAF is to promote development of traditional martial arts throughout the world. WOMAF has divisions for Hapkido, TaeKwonDo, Judo, Jujitsu and Aikido. Each of these arts form the foundation for all martial arts. This foundation acts as a "common language" which allows us to understand and learn from different styles. WOMAF is unique since it represents multiple martial arts and encourages exchange between different styles.

Mr. Garrison

For new members, it is important that they are cognizant of the fact that WOMAF is a training federation; belt rank is viewed as a result of understanding the principles of martial art training. With the advent of ever increasing mail-order "Hapkido rank" mills, each WOMAF member has the personal responsibility to not only focus on their training but also to educate other students to the value of associating and training with an organization that is representative of the honor, integrity and historical significance of the martial arts.

Pacific Rim Martial Arts Academy in Beaverton, Oregon is the U.S. headquarters for the World Oriental Martial Arts Federation. Students of all disciplines are welcome to visit. Grandmaster Kim Sangcook is the President and Grandmaster James R. Garrison (9th Dan) is the Vice-President and U.S. representative.
